LEARNING LIVE clinics/masterclasses, produced by Music for a Sound Future are part of an educational program geared primarily towards jazz vocal and instrumental students and young professionals. Students from various High Schools and colleges throughout the Greater NY area are invited to participate in a master class setting. Students perform before an audience and receive expert instruction as well as individual coaching from highly qualified and experienced educators/performers. This invaluable opportunity helps young musicians and attendees learn from and perform with some of the world's top musicians.
Featured artists/educators: Bernard Purdie, Rob Paparozzi, Omar Hakim, Racheal Z, Janet Lawson, Billy Harper, Jazzmeia Horn, Ed Joffe, Bashiri Johnson, Lewis Porter, Sheila Jordan and others. Participating students have come from LaGuardia High School, the New School, SUNY Purchase, York College, Herricks High School and Mount Olive High School.
